This postcard shows a Sunday Mass in El Paso, Texas, sometime around 1916-1917. The open air Mass took place in front of a K of C recreation hall.

The Mexican Punitive Expedition, also called the Pancho Villa Expedition, brought U.S. troops to Mexico to fight against the “Villistas” of Pancho Villa between 1916 and 1917. The K of C provided support to these troops along the border of Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. (The U.S.O. would not be in existence for another 3 decades.)
The Knights have supported the U.S. military for more than 100 years!
