St. Vincent de Paul Society at Cornhole Fundraiser

   On Sunday March 22 the two Marlborough St. VdeP Conferences will be holding a cornhole tournament to benefit those in need in Marlborough. The event will go from 2:00-6:00 pm and be held at the Tacklebox Brewery 416 Boston post Rd. E. There will be a cornhole tournament with teams of two. Their will also be other cornhole sets to play for fun along with pool, darts, table tennis, air hockey and shuffleboard. The Highland Woods Project group will be providing music from 3:00-5:00 pm. There will be a raffle for many prizes (such as gift cards, baskets, etc.) Just to name a few: Welly, Apex Entertainment, Wayside Inn, 110 Grill, Joy-Den jewelers and many more. There will also be silent auction items. These include: A visit with “Belle the Owl”, A ride to school in a police cruiser, 4 tickets to a Red Sox game, 4 tickets to a Woosox AAA game, 2 Bruins tickets, 4 tickets to a Revolution soccer game plus a VIP parking pass, A round of golf for 3 at the Marlborough Country Club and a behind the scenes tour at a local zoo. A couple more items may yet come in before the event.

To register for the tournament the cost is $20 each with the winning team each winning $50. To register to get in for the games, music, raffle and silent auction the cost is $5 each. Those who register early for the tournament will also receive 10 raffle tickets to be put in cans for the individual raffle items. Tickets for the raffle will be sold the day of the event. Registration will also be available the day of the event at Tacklebox.
