Don McCormack served throughout the world for a medical device company and lived in China for many years.  Don was Grand Knight of Council #81 from 2011-2013.   He was known for his strong faith, service to his community, and unwavering generosity.   Don’s quiet strength provided valuable leadership during his years as Grand Knight.  After his death in 2025, his estate made a significant donation to establish a college scholarthip program in his memory.

Each year, four $1,000 scholarships are available to graduating high school students in our area who are attending college.  Although the program is open to everyone, preference will be made for Catholic student from one of the three parishes Council #81 serves; and to students attending a Catholic College or University.  Council #81’s Scholarship Committee will also consider recommendations from school Guidance officers and community and religious ministers in the area.
