My Brother Knights,

On Saturday, April 27nd 2019, the Fr. Edmund W. Croke Council #4982 will host this year’s annual statewide Knights of Columbus cribbage tournament.  This event, which we have hosted for 13 years, has grown in popularity with each renewal and continues to be one of the states more popular events.  As with last year, Councils’ will be allowed to submit a roster for additional teams, which will be accepted after the main cutoff date if space is available. Please note, this tournament is for Knights of Columbus members only.  MEMBERS ARE ALLOWED TO BRING GUESTS TO PLAY. We will host this tournament in our member’s quarters downstairs. Our member’s quarters has recently had some renovations to make it a more comfortable for our brothers. We have new televisions along with a newly built bar.

Entries will be accepted on a first come first served basis. Interested councils are urged to respond as soon as possible in order to avoid the possibility of being denied entry.  All entry forms must be received no later than April 21ST 2019.   The entry fee will be $25.00 per person .It would be best if each council brings 4 participants, this will make the brackets easier to work with. Prizes will be awarded for top 3 finishers.   Format will be posted day of tournament.  We will  guarantee at least 2 matches for all participants.

PLEASE BE ON TIME.!!!!! This will help make chairman Ray Mercuri job easier with the bracket pairings

The following is the schedule of events for the day:

9:00am – 10:00am              Registration – Coffee and donuts

10:00am – 12:00 Noon       First Round of the Competition

12:00Noon – 1:00pm          Roast Beef Lunch

1:00pm – Conclusion         Second through final rounds of
Championship tournament and first
through final round of “Losers” bracket.

A $15.00 fee will be charged for all non-entrants for the Roast Beef Luncheon.
