The I.C. parish picnic committee is soliciting volunteers. A central sign-up page for the whole parish is being hosted on Council #81’s website:
Ticket Sales after Masses:
Staff the ticket tables after Masses and distribute tickets. All Masses on the three weekends of May 5-6, May 12-13, and May 19-20 must be covered.
Help the caterer move food off the grills and to the serving tables and distribute the food to parishioners as they walk through a buffet line. Sign up for a one hour block of time.
Welcome guests as they arrive, point out the various activities, assist elderly, infirm and disabled individuals, help them find seats and get food if necessary, and patrol the area periodically for cleanliness, clean off tables, and clean up spills, etc. Sign up for a one hour block of time.
Supervising the Bouncy House:
Keep an eye on the children, prevent over-crowding, try to separate children into age groups to prevent injuries, etc. Sign up for a one hour block of time.
Moving, set-up and break-down:
Kathy Ireland has specifically asked the Knights to help out in this area: We need people with pickup trucks and strong guys to move tables and chairs. There are three different tasks:
Saturday morning (May 26) 9:00 a.m. to move tables and chairs from Meehan Hall and the Lower Church to the Lower School (need 2-3 pickups and 3-6 guys) about one hour.
Sunday morning (May 27) 8:00 a.m. to set up the tables and chairs (need 3-6 people) (no vehicles needed) about one hour.
Sunday afternoon 4:30 p.m. to break-down all the tables and chairs and move everything back to Meehan Hall and the Lower Church (need 2-3 pickups and 3-6 guys) about one hour.
